At Story Portraits, I create dignified, uplifting stories drawn from lived experience — carefully gathered through gentle, respectful interviews and shaped into writing that feels true. Each portrait is created with consent, discretion and care, so people feel seen and honoured first — and organisations can share their impact in a way that is human, ethical and deeply meaningful.

Story Portraits are not about using stories — they’re about seeing people. Every piece is created with care, consent and dignity, so the person feels honoured first. Only then, if appropriate, can the story support an organisation to share impact in a way that remains truthful and human.

I offer a small number of story-led services for charities and community organisations. Everything is created through consent-led, dignity-first storytelling - so the person comes first, and the writing can then be shaped for impact reporting, communications and fundraising.

I shape lived experience into clear, compelling writing that helps organisations show what has changed — and why it matters. These stories can support impact reporting, stakeholder updates and funding applications, bringing human voice and evidence together with integrity. Receive 3–6 compelling pull-out quotes, ideal for campaigns and other publications.

Communications & fundraising narratives

Stories that help people connect with your mission - and stay connected. I create supporter-ready writing for newsletters, appeals, brochures and web pages, always keeping the person at the centre and ensuring consent, care and accuracy throughout.
